Automatic elevating &
orienting of low profile and metal caps
The Kinsley CEF-1 combines a high speed elevating and transportation technique
to deliver properly oriented container caps to your packing line. Designed
to operate with all types of filling
machines, the CEF-1 is a reliable and cost-effective solution for increasing
production speeds.
The CEF-1 handles a wide variety of low profile
caps, operating on the principle of center of gravity on an inclined
plane. Caps in the hopper are delivered onto the conveyor chain in a
single orientation and are then elevated at a discriminating angle which keeps
them retained on the bars and cleats of the chain. The angle of the
conveyor is adjustable to suit a variety of cap configurations. Feed rate
is dependent on size and shape of the part.
Parts are elevated on a 12" wide chain, and
are directed via a cam bar, properly oriented, to the discharge chute. A
photoelectric device senses part load in the chute and regulates the machine to
maintain a consistent output rate. An optional air control device may be
specified if the machine is to be used in a explosion-proof environment.
The Kinsley CEF-1 is constructed with a 10 cubic foot capacity hopper (stainless
or mild steel), and mild steel framework. Special coatings are available
as optional. Conveyor chain is made of Delrin with cleats to grip
parts. Drive device is a variable speed DC motor equipped with torque
limiter for load protection. All electrics are wired to a single 115/1/60
VAC control panel for simple field installation.
