Now you can keep your container lines progressing at
optimal speeds for top efficiency and high output. Kinsley line combiners
efficiently separate and
combine containers for high speed filling, labeling ,or capping
inspection. When certain stations on your packaging line require a slower
feed, you can end up with an inefficiently slow production line, or a processing
"bottleneck." Use a Kinsley diving station to separate the feed
into 2 lines (or up to 8 lines on special arrangements) for simultaneous
processing. Then use a Kinsley combining station to recreate a single line
and double the pace of the feeder up to 1400 containers per minute. This
allows you to perform your slowest operation without reducing the output speed
of the line.
Combiners
Kinsley Corporation was
the first to introduce a commercial line combiner, and
today Kinsley units continue to set the pace for leading national packagers.
They provide smooth handling with out a possibility of container jams at the
converging point. Counter rotating timing screws separate and accelerate
the containers. 180° out of phase, the feeder screws create a
"dovetail" discharge effect, feeding containers onto a conveyor with
uniform spacing for convenient handling at subsequent stations.
Dividers
A similar arrangement is
employed on Kinsley Divider units,
to separate a single line into two lines at half the speed. This allows
slower stations to be duplicated. The line is split and fed into twin units so
that the overall line speed is not compromised. Special units allow a
choice of 1/2, 1/4 or 1/3 split.
Speeds
Kinsley's basic unit,
Model C2-1 N, combines two lines at speeds up to 700 cpm, to one screw line at
1400 cpm. The variable speed drive motor allows operation at any
convenient speed. Four, six and eight line models have different speed
capabilities.
Containers
Standard units are
designed to accommodate a wide variety of container sizes and shapes (including
round and oval) when particularly unusual configurations are involved.
Kinsley engineers can adapt the line to suit the application precisely. Components
Kinsley's unique, field
proven timing screws are used in all line combiners and dividers. Produced
from polyethylene, Derlin, MC nylon, or other materials suitable to the
application that will prevent possible marking of the containers. A
split-drive system allows direct conveyor feed while the screws are
stopped. High / low limit switches on the conveyor ensure a choke feed at
the timing screw entrance point. Construction
Sprocket chains are used
at the input point between the motors and drive point. All other drive
transmission is by shafts and gears. Conveyor sides are clear for adjacent
feeds and discharge conveyors with minimum-crossover dead plates. Sturdy
square-tube construction and 4 1/2" wide Derlin table-top chains are used
for long life and trouble-free operation. Dimensions
Standard Model C2-1N
features a compact, 98 1/2" linear configuration. Additional length
can be added at time of ordering to meet special needs. In addition
Kinsley units are designed to permit future size alterations as requirements
change. Custom
